Bringing along some bridal inspiration is wonderful. Whether it’s a Pinterest board, some screenshots, or a favorite designer that keeps catching your eye. But the true magic of bridal shopping often happens when you venture beyond your comfort zone.

The vast majority of our brides find themselves picking a gown they never thought would be perfect for them. Our suggestion? Give some fun options a try along with the styles you think you’ll love. You may just surprise yourself!

 Who should you bring along?

Having a large support crew can add to the fun of a bridal appointment, but sometimes, keeping it simple is the way to go. When you've got a lot of opinions flying around, it can feel a bit overwhelming and might distract you from what you truly think.

We would suggest picking one or two people who really understand your style and that you know will be truthful with you. While also knowing to keep the spotlight on you.

 What should I wear to my bridal appointment?

Don't stress about this too much! In general, it's good to simply stick with simple nude or light underwear, and if you have a strapless bra, it would be a good idea to bring that along too! That way, nothing takes away from how great the dresses fit. A lot of brides choose to wear shapewear on the day, and if you've already picked yours up, its a good idea to wear it during the bridal appointment.

If you’ve already picked out your wedding shoes or know the heel height you’ll be wearing, bring them along! This way, we can get a better sense of length and proportions together.

 How does the appointment work?

Your appointment will last around 2 hours, which will provide ample time to unwind, explore, and try on various styles of wedding dresses. When you arrive, we’ll begin with a little chat about your wedding style, venue, and any must-have details for your dress. Then we'll pick out a mix of gowns for you to try!

You will never be rushed, and we'll be there to assist you with fittings, answer any questions, and provide advice throughout your bridal appointment.

 Selfies, reflections, and emotions

You are more than welcome to take photos during your bridal appointment! But keep in mind that cameras can sometimes change how colours and shapes look. What truly counts is the way you feel when you stand in front of the mirror.
