I’m Claire, half of the mother-and-daughter team with my mum Christine (“The Queen,” as we affectionately call her), and we’re the founders of Confetti & Curves and its sister boutique, Brides & Bustles.
We created Confetti & Curves because we believed there should be a special space for plus-size brides filled with wedding dresses that are actually designed for their silhouettes—a destination full of joy, sparkle, and the belief that all brides deserve the same exceptional experience, no matter their size.
Our boutiques are set within our very own Watermill in Barton-le-Clay, Bedfordshire. Confetti & Curves offers a selection of gorgeous gowns designed specifically for sizes 18 and up, all personally selected from designers such as White Rose Graceful, True Curves, and Beautiful Brides +. Together, they offer our curvy brides the finest in both style and inclusivity. The cost of our plus-size gowns ranges from £750 to £2,000, so there really is something for every wedding budget. And if you’re short on time or looking for a bargain, Our Ivory Outlet offers a stunning range of off-the-peg bridal dresses available to take away the same day.
When you book an appointment with us, you’ll enjoy exclusive use of our spacious dressing room for the full duration of your visit, along with the undivided attention of our experienced consultants (and probably a glass of bubbly or two!) The dressing room features three walls of mirrors so you can see every angle of your dress, which is perfect for admiring those intricate backs and trains.
Of course, none of this magic would happen without our amazing team. Alongside Mum and me, our talented and experienced girls make sure everything runs smoothly, from your first dress try-on to that unforgettable “yes” moment.
And who am I in all this? I’m 39 (always will be), a mum to two gorgeous kids, and married to a wonderfully supportive husband who puts up with my rom-com habit and chocolate obsession. I’ll forever be a Garage girl at heart, and I love nothing more than meeting up with my girls, sipping orange gin, and being the loudest people in the room.
